| Aged R values can range from R-16 to R-28 depending upon the insulation selected
(i.e. expanded polystyrene is R-4/inch, extruded polystyrene is R-5/inch, and polyurethane
is R-7/inch). Lite-Form is the most cost effective way to achieve an R2000 home. All
Lite-Form insulations are CFC free. Lite-Form insulating formwork is very light and can be prefabricated off-site.
Walls can be shop-assembled in large sections, trucked to the site and moved into place
with a small crew and no lifting equipment. Building sites are cleaner and more
hazard-free.
Lite-Form construction is extremely fast and can be carried out in the winter months.
In addition to high thermal insulation, Lite-Form also provides high sound
insulation-an environmental feature which is becoming more valued every day. And
Lite-Form’s polystyrene insulation is not made with CFCs so it’s manufacture
does not polute the environment.
Lite-Form’s 3-hour fire-rating is important in terms of life-safety, peace of
mind-and insurance premiums.
Cut-outs for electrical outlets and plumbing do not result in air-barrier penetration.
